Just as the UK appears to be moving in the oppositie direction by creating the possibility of broadband providers being able to charge for diffferent "package weights", the FCC in Washington, DC voted 5-3 to maintain Net Neutrality.

Ten years ago I wrote to the then Vice Chancellor at Oxford University, Colin Lucas, suggesting an Internet Institute at Oxford; it was fast forwarded though the system and opened in September, 2001. Next September, we shall celebrate its tenth anniversary and give thanks to Dame Steve Shirley for her £10 million donation - which made it all happen.
