Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates eventually understood why he had to donate some of his wealth to a Foundation and good for him; Brin & Page, the founders of Google, established a Foundation but it has hardly spent any of its $2b. But Apple? Where is their Foundation?

Hillary Clinton speech on Internet Freedom 17.02.11
Hillary Clinton has made three speeches about Internet Freedom - in January 2010 just after Google had withdrawn from China, in December, 2010 over the Wikileaks and earlier this week. Her speech is printed in full. It is clear the US State department does not have a coherent view of the internet.
