Welcome to my new website

Many of us over 60 are counted out when part-time jobs come up despite our collective wisdom and abilities.

To counter some of this prejudice I have dispensed with sending my CV and have instead created The Complete Picture, an animated ninety second overview of my life to date @ https://vimeo.com/223960456.

The Secret Life of Bletchley Park by Sinclair McKay (Aurum)

It may have been "a secret" for 50 years but gradually as more and more information becomes public thanks to those who worked there we know how important Bletchley Park was in winning the second World War. It was in a way its own quiet stoic British miracle.

Sinclair McKay has interviewed dozens of veterans who worked there beyond just the more famous like Dilly Knox, Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman, Hugh Alexander, Frank Birch and Peter Twinn.

His book is timely. Former workers at Bletchley Park now have there own commemorative medal, Alan Turing was, if pardon, is the right word, "Pardoned and thanked" for his work by Gordon Brown when Prime Minister and a lottery grant should help bring back to life the huts and its contents.
