Welcome to my new website

Many of us over 60 are counted out when part-time jobs come up despite our collective wisdom and abilities.

To counter some of this prejudice I have dispensed with sending my CV and have instead created The Complete Picture, an animated ninety second overview of my life to date @ https://vimeo.com/223960456.

Google's Misbehaviour 25.10.10

You are here: Home / Internet Stuff / Internet Stuff / Google's Misbehaviour 25.10.10

25 Oct 2010
Was anybody really surprised at Google's somewhat lame excuses that they had accidentally captured our passwords and much else besides whilst photographing our houses (where many of us hadn't given them consent)?

They are behaving as though they are above the law much as Microsoft did a decade or so ago.

The problem now is what to do with the amount of data they hold? And, in the UK it has been surprising that the Government and its agencies, Ofcom and the Information Commissioner have said nothing today. Maybe that's why we need an Internet Policy Institute.

It is time there was a new law in which it was made explicitly clear that we own our own ID.
