Welcome to my new website

Many of us over 60 are counted out when part-time jobs come up despite our collective wisdom and abilities.

To counter some of this prejudice I have dispensed with sending my CV and have instead created The Complete Picture, an animated ninety second overview of my life to date @ https://vimeo.com/223960456.

15 Oct 2010
Ed Vaizey, the minister with the longest list of responsibilities in the history of politics, (there should be  a badge for him, as Tony Hancock once said of himself when giving blood in The Blood Donor) spoke at the 5th Parliament & Internet Conference.

He said:

** 3 pilots for rural superfast broadband areas will be announced shortly

** councils like Cumbria, Oxfordshire and Suffolk were coming forward with their own plans

** the Govt would not put its own money in to supporting fast broadband but would rely on the private sector, the residue from the Digital Switchover Fund and a possible use of the licence fee

** that the EU had helped fund Cornwall for fast super broadband recently

** he hopes by 2015 to have superfast speeds across the UK (what speed?)
