The Wall Street Journal has an interesting piece on a Google vision statement that the newspaper obtained, which asks how far the company should it go in profiting from the vast amounts of data it possesses about people's activities.

According to a source the document was for "brainstorming" purposes only and wasn't presented to senior executives, however, it has brought up privacy issues around targeted advertising.
