I drove up to St Alban's yesterday lunch-time which was hot even with the roof down! I wouldn't recommend the city as it took 35 minutes to finish the last 3 miles of the journey. The town planners need to resolve this chronic issue but I suspect car drivers have been saying that for the past 50 years.
Richmond were playing St Alban's in SSE National League 1. Last week Richmond opened their account with a win whereas OLd Albanians started with a loss. In the game itself, Richmond must have won 65% (or more) of the ball but our backs ran sideways across the field. In sharp contrast, the OA's backs skipped and danced their way through some very shoddy tackling with some panache. Unless the OA's improve up front they will struggle in the winter months. As for Richmond they need a settled half back partnership and two centres pretty quickly............
Jack, my son, was at Bath to see them beat Wasps 30-23. Daisy, my daughter, was in Canterbury.
