I first met David Hooper when he was our lawyer for Spycatcher back in 1986-7 when I was a board director at William Heinemann. We have remained firm friends ever since and on occasions his libel knowledge has saved me and a number of friends from serious trouble.

On Thursday we had a mellow time at the Cork & Bottle and plotted!!
