Six months ago I began an email conversation with TfL about the bus stops for the 507. The route runs from Victoria Station to Waterloo and back. Because of the enormous refit of Victoria per se (six cranes and counting) the out bus to Waterloo was redriected down Vauxhall Bridge Road and left into Rochester Row. So after departing the next stop was in the middle of Rochester Row which from central Pimlico was a mile walk.
I had noticed a bus stop in VBR which could be used by the 507 which would save pensioners half a mile. I duly suggested this to TfL and after six weeks of committee meetings I was told there was a chance. For good measure I asked my local councillors to support it which they did. There was then radio silence. But yesterday, I caught the bus from Victoria and imagine my immense pride when it stopped at the new bus stop in VBR.
