I was at St. Catherine's College, Oxford as a mature student (32) where I read for an M.Sc in Mismanagement Education ......but that was then........
The College is affectionately known as Catz and we had our annual Alumni Party at ARUP on Thursday evening. I arrived late by which time it was humming....
i borrowed £10k in 1981 from my bank to do my course and paid it back over a further ten years by which time my salary had quadrupled so for me my time at Oxford was truly beneficial in every sense especially as I had previously studied at St. Luke's College and then the Open University so this was my first conventional Uni.
At Oxford, I spoke at the Union, attended OUDS, wrote for The Times and The Observer and played in the Centenary Varsity Match with the likes of Stuart Barnes, Andrew Bibby, Phil Crowe, Simon Halliday and John Webster. This experience changed my life and I have donated to the Bodleian Library, Oxford Union and Catz.
